The team received SSHRC funding for a Partnership Engage grant to continue the neighbourhood mapping started last summer in the City of Burnaby. We will start mapping in three additional neighborhoods on the Project Sidewalk platform.
We are partnering with Burnaby Neighbourhood House to structure data collection with youth leadership groups, as well as older adults (Ground truthing at hotspots) using the SWAN tool.

In recent months, our focus has been on data visualization within Project Sidewalk through the utilization of GIS. Additionally, we conducted meetings with COB city staff to provide training sessions on how to collect data on sidewalk accessibility using Project Sidewalk platform.
A grant proposal (in collaboration with CIL) has been submitted to get additional funding for community engaged data collection and knowledge mobilization session.
