In 2021, 16% of the world’s population lived with one or more disabilities. To promote their access to outdoor activities, the Association régionale de loisir pour personnes handicapées de la Capitale-Nationale (ARLPH03) has partnered with the Centre interdisciplinaire de recherche en réadaptation et intégration sociale (Cirris) of the CIUSSS de la Capitale-Nationale to create Tandem Actif. This website provides information and connects people with disabilities with trained volunteers to participate in outdoor activities such as hiking, cycling, and rock climbing.
